Make It Monday- Let's Make A Fun Fall No Sew Scarf!

It is Make It Monday again and today I am sharing with you a fun fall scarf you can make your dolls. This is a no sew felt scarf and you can make this for your dolls in under 20 minutes!
To Make your own No Sew Fun Fall Scarf you will need:
-Felt in various fall colors.
-1 large piece of felt that is 18 inches long. I used brown.
-Aleene's Fabric Fusion Tape
-*Button's (If you add these you may wish to hand sew these on or you can glue them into place.)
-Scissors
-Ruler or measuring tape
Step 1- Assemble your supplies. Pick your scarf main color. Use your ruler to cut a piece of felt that it 18 inches long by 2 inched wide.
Step 2- Cut rectangles, squares or colored shapes out of your fall colored felt and lay them on your scarf in a pattern.  You can add buttons to see where you wish to put them or leave the scarf with out.
Step 3- Unroll and cut strips of Aleen's Fabric Fusion tape to fit your felt colored shapes. You can then place them on the back of your cut colored shapes and then remove the back and press them into the scarf where you would like. Repeat on all your colors.
Step 4- For the end of your scarf if you wish to add a color fringe as I have cut a piece of Aleen's Fabric Fusion tape from your roll and lay it just above the bottom edge on both ends of your scarf. Place your cut color so that it hangs over the end of your scarf. Use your scissors to cut a fringe end. Make snips up to where the color meets the scarf.
Step 5- Add buttons, or fabric paint to personalize your scarf. Then your scarf will be ready for play!
I hope you enjoyed today's craft and I look forward to sharing more Make it Monday posts with you soon!-Karen Owen aka Karen Mom of Three

Make It Monday! Sew A Patch Work Halloween Throw Blanket For Your Dolls

Karen here and for today's Make It Monday craft tutorial I have decided to share a very easy and fun way to create a great patch work quilt for your dolls. This is a great way to practice your sewing and a perfect first quilt!
To create your own you will need:
-Halloween Print Material
-Felt in different colors
-1 large piece of felt for the back of the blanket 12 inches by 18 inches
-A sewing machine
-Thread
-Pins
-Scissors
-Ruler
-Paper
Step 1- Use your ruler and cut a piece of paper 3 inches square. This will be your pattern piece for your patch work squares.
Step 2- Cut out 12 squares of your Halloween Print Fabric and 12 squares of your co-coordinating felt
Step 3- Lay out your fabric and felt
Step 4- Once you have your pattern selected begin attaching the fabric to the felt. Make rows of  4 squares by 6. Use your sewing machine and begin stitching fabric to felt.. Repeat by attaching all the pieces in your 4 rows of 6 squares. You will create 4 strips of 6 squares.

Step 5- Once you have all 4 strips sewn begin to sew them to each other. Put the patterned fabric facing each other as you sew your strips. Repeat until all your strips resemble the top of your blanket.
Step 6- Turn your now created front piece of your quilt pattern side down on your large piece of 12X18 felt. Pin into place and sew along three sides. Trim the edges and turn it right side out. Pin the open end closed tucking the raw edges in as you go and sew shut, continue stitching along all sides of your blanket. Now your blanket is ready to use!
